The friction law give rise to interesting phenomena in complex systems such as granular media or granular suspension. A popular phenomenon related to friction is the mechanical strength of two interleaved systems that cannot be separated even by two tanks.Interleaved systems have been less studied by the physicists. The role of interleaving in frictionnal complex system is the aim of this project. To achieve this objective, we have divided our program in 3 questions. In 2D systems, we would like to understand the rol eof the bending rigidity, the role of adhesion, and the role of the lubrication in the friction of interleaved sheets. The second task will be devoted to the friction amplification in an assembly of fibers (1D systems). 3) Finally, we will address the question of small systems which are systems at the nanoscale.
