To Design Technology for Strong Sustainability – D-TechnoSS
The D-Techoss project aims to develop a better understanding of the awareness mechanisms and behavioural changes associated with the adoption of participatory design approaches in a position of strong sustainability. The project seeks to explore the proposal of a strong integration between society and production system to develop awareness, behavioural change and adaptation to resource constraints (material and financial)climate and biodiversity. It is based on an experimental approach aimed at better understanding the determinants of awareness and behaviour change of designers and users on the one hand and proposing a model for assessing sustainability in a position of strong sustainability on the other hand. This project therefore aims to better understand and support social transitions and the necessary adaptation of the production system and design methodologies.
