Optique Ultrarapide, Nanophotonique et Plasmonique
UNION
Keywords: femtomagnétisme, plasmonique, magneto-acoustique,
The project UNION is dedicated to the study of the states of matter coupled with photons, with an emphasis on two important aspects. On one hand the dynamics of magnetization in nanostructures (IPCMS laboratory) is studied at the femtosecond time scale (Femtomagnetism) and the possibility of creatinghybrid light-matter states is explored (ISIS laboratory). These objectives open new perspectives for future technologies such as laser assisted information recordingdevices, magnetic sensors or the developments of molecular materials having specific functionalities.
In 2020, the ISIS partner has shown that the symetry of vibration play a crucial role on the strong vibrationnal coupling impact on the chemical reactivity.
The IPCMS partner has demonstrated a photothermal configuration for controlling an AFM cantilever. Studies realized by Magnetic circular dichroism at low temperature on assemblies of metals nanoparticles have revealed the presence of chiral magneto-optical effects.
