Humanized Liver in Rat – HuLiver
Mass-production of human hepatocytes is at the heart of an economic challenge for biotechnology and biomedical research. Studies on animal models are misleading because the expression levels and substrate specificity of liver enzymes are often different from their human counterparts. Hepatocytes isolated from human livers represent the gold standard in vitro cell model but the source of human tissue is limited. In addition, isolated human hepatocytes do not longer poliferate in culture.

Ostrecoccus tauri from Research to Industry: A microalgal factory for the development and production of higher value-added compounds for well-being, food and health industries. – OTARI
Microalgae are a highly diverse bio-resource and feature a large variety of value-added compounds, which
SuperSUN – a new high-density source for ultracold neutrons – SuperSUN
inelastic scattering in superfluid helium. A novel feature and key component of SuperSUN is a magnetic multipole [...] the magnetic reflector, which is a very welcome feature for such experiments. Modern experiments on short

Tiacumicin B, a New Antibacterial Natural Product Lead Acting on a Novel Druggable Target – SYNTIA
specialists of total synthesis and of glycochemistry featuring thus a rare and very promising association.
Inhibition of metallo-ß-lactamases (MBLs) to fight the bacterial resistance to ß-lactam antibiotics – ANTIMBL
subclasses, B1, B2, and B3 on the basis of structural features. Subclass B1 includes most of the acquired enzymes
Manipulation of membrane traffic by bacterial pathogens – Bacterial-Tactics
Cellular traffic is frequently hijacked by intracellular pathogens to invade the cell and replicate. Small GTPases are major regulators of cellular traffic, and are often the target of bacterial toxins. We study the structural and biochemical determinants of bacterial toxins that hijack small GTPases.
