The FLAG-ERA ERA-NET (Flagship ERA-NET) brings together most of the European regional and national funding agencies and aims to contribute to the two European initiatives Graphene Flagship and Human Brain Project - EBRAINS, notably by launching dedicated transnational calls for projects.

Elle doit aussi se donner les moyens d’attirer ou de maintenir sur le territoire national les meilleurs chercheurs mondiaux dans leur domaine. Leaders de la recherche en Biologie /Santé, ces chercheurs porteront l’ambition nécessaire pour mettre la France en tête des pays capables de générer la connaissance scientifique, à même de produire l’innovation et de favoriser le développement des Biotechs et des Medtechs, dans le but d’améliorer la santé publique et d’attirer les investissements internationaux et les grands industriels de santé.

The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funding agencies that ANR is part of, is launching a call aiming at improving understanding among the climate, environment, and health pathways to protect and promote ecological, planetary, and human health in the face of climate challenges. Multilateral, inter-, and transdisciplinary research projects will investigate issues that impede policy implementation; address complex climate, ecosystem, and health pathways to determine processes underlying causal links; capacity development and collaboration across relevant disciplines and institutions; and foster the use of international scientific databases with local knowledge to develop climate-related decision support tools to better inform planning, resilience, and adaptation to climate change.

The French National Research Agency (ANR) participates in a “Collaborative Research Action” (CRA) launched in 2023 by the Joint Programming Initiatives (JPI) on Cultural Heritage and Global Change (JPI CH) and Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe (JPI Climate), and the Belmont Forum. This funding opportunity focuses on research challenges at the interface of cultural heritage and climate change.

The French National Research Agency (ANR) is participating in an international call for projects launched by JPIAMR and by the ERA-NET JPIAMR-ACTION in the area of surveillance and diagnostics. The call involves 25 funding organizations from 19 countries. The total call budget is about 21 million euros. Proposals will be evaluated in two steps (pre-proposal/ full proposal).

The Southwest Indian Ocean (SWIO) basin is a globally recognized hotspot of endemism and biodiversity. It is home to many spatially fragmented Marine Protected Areas (MPA), which are essential in maintaining marine ecosystems. A crucial element, which requires further investigation, is the ecological connectivity, often highlighted in the design of MPAs and the guarantees of conservation success.

The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, a European partnership under the European Commission’s Research & Innovation Framework Programme Horizon Europe, is pleased to announce its first Joint transnational call entitled "The way forward: a thriving sustainable blue economy for a brighter future".

The overall objective of this research call is to increase understanding and preparedness for impending effects on animal health and the livestock industry caused by climate change and spread of anthelmintic resistance. This includes basic research to better understand mechanisms behind these topics or applied development of detection, management, intervention and prevention strategies.

Within the framework of ERA-NET Cofund M-era.Net 3, the French National Research Agency (ANR), in partnership with around 50 funding organizations from 36 different countries, launches a new call for proposals on materials science and engineering: M-ERA.NET 2023 (2024 edition for the ANR).

The NORFACE (New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Cooperation in Europe) network today announced a call for transnational social science projects on the theme "Enhancing Well-Being for the Future", with the support of CHANSE (Collaboration of Humanities and Social Sciences in Europe).

Pour préparer la France à une nouvelle crise sanitaire majeure, le Gouvernement a lancé la stratégie d'accélération Maladies infectieuses émergentes (MIE) et menaces nucléaires, radiologiques, biologiques et chimiques (MN), inscrite dans le volet Santé Innovation 2030 du Plan d’Investissement France 2030. Cette stratégie doit permettre à l’Etat de comprendre, prévenir et contrôler les phénomènes d’émergence ou de réémergence de maladies infectieuses, pour en limiter les impacts, mais également de lutter contre les autres menaces MN.

L’appel à projets (AAP) « Un océan de solutions – vague 2 » vise à financer des projets de recherche interdisciplinaires, ambitieux et structurants se focalisant sur l’évaluation et l’anticipation des changements globaux d'origine anthropique impactant les océans (changement climatique, changements et nouveaux usages, pollutions, espèces invasives) et l’identification de solutions pour la protection de l’océan, la préservation des services écosystémiques et les usages durables et équitables des océans.

The program is entirely funded by the AID and is implemented by ANR.

The French National Research Agency is joining the new transnational call for proposals launched within the framework of the Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) Partnership, focused on organizing and improving health systems to alleviate the pressure on healthcare facilities while offering patients a more tailored care pathway that fits their needs and preferences. This call will bring together 36 funding agencies from 23 countries and will have a global budget of more than 35 million euros.

This call for proposals aims to bring out, in addition to the 5 already committed, about twenty University center of Innovation i.e « Pôle universitaire d’innovation » (PUI) on the territory and to provide all the PUIs with the necessary means to accelerate the territorial dynamics of innovation. A PUI is made up of a consortium of research and innovation players from a local ecosystem.
