"Setting up European or International Scientific Networks" (SRSEI), Edition 2022
Through SRSEI instrument, researchers working in French laboratories should have easier ability to apply to European programmes (Horizon Europe) and other international calls in two steps and thus have the opportunity to lead ambitious transnational networks.
Funding will only be provided for research networks, in all the disciplines, and that have specifically been set up to submit a collaborative project in response to a large-scale European or international two steps call for proposals with major scientific, technological or societal impacts.
NB: For all information about Horizon Europe calls, please contact the national contact points (NCPs):
Selected projects will receive €17,000 in funding over an 12-month period. The ANR grant is purely intended to reinforce the application of the scientific network to the latest step of the European/ international call; the SRSEI instrument is not designed to offer funding for the research itself.
This instrument has been designed to be flexible and effective, facilitating swift decision-making and fast deployment of funds:
- a simplified application file;
- a single beneficiary: the French research organisation, acting as principal investigator, will receive the funding on behalf of the entire consortium;
- a simplified selection process based on European or international funding agency.

The appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal centralises all information on calls for proposals and calls for applications from ADEME, ANR, Inserm including ANRS, Anses and INCa. It provides a simplified access to upcoming and ongoing calls, giving a greater visibility to funding opportunities. Following their closing date, the calls remain published for a few months.
