JPI Cultural Heritage – Conservation, Protection and Use
The Conservation, Protection and Use call will support research into strategies, methodologies and tools to safeguard and use the physical components of our cultural heritage. It invites research projects that take a global approach to preserving Europe’s heritage and which result in a better understanding of our history, traditions and culture, of our individual and collective identities, and ultimately of our well-being.
Each project consortium must comprise at least three research teams, each from a different country participating in the JPI CH Conservation, Protection and Use call and based in an eligible institution. The maximum number of research teams in a project is five.
Only beneficiaries eligible according to the rules of the National funding agencies participating in the JPI CH Conservation, Protection and Use call and eligible for the funding organization specified are eligible to apply, irrespective of their nationality.
The countries participating in this call are : Belarus, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France , Italy , Latvia , Norway , Poland, Portugal , Spain , The Netherlands, The United Kingdom.
The call will include four main topics:
- Topic one: Analysing and modelling change
- Topic two: Sustainable protection and enhancement of values
- Topic three: Management of cultural heritage at risk
- Topic four: Layered conservation
Proposals to the JPI CH Conservation, Protection and Use transnational call for proposals must be submitted by the Project Leader.
Partners requesting funding from ANR need to download a PDF containing their administrative and financial information directly from the ANR submission site (forthcoming link). It is advised that they register and provide their information as soon as possible before the deadline.

Erratum of 11/07/2019: The deadline for submitting proposals on the website of JPI CH has changed. The new deadline is 11 September 2019 at 16:00 (CEST). All the documents to be download have been modified accordingly.

The appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal centralises all information on calls for proposals and calls for applications from ADEME, ANR, Inserm including ANRS, Anses and INCa. It provides a simplified access to upcoming and ongoing calls, giving a greater visibility to funding opportunities. Following their closing date, the calls remain published for a few months.
