Flash call COVID-19
The ANR’s specific funding instrument, the Flash call, is based on an accelerated device that allows the selection and funding of proposals within a short period of time without departing from the principles of peer review.
With an initial budget of € 3 million, the Flash COVID-19 call aims to rapidly support the scientific communities mobilized on COVID-19. It complements the actions already launched by the multidisciplinary REACTing consortium (REsearch and ACTion targeting emerging infectious diseases) coordinated by Inserm under the aegis of AVIESAN.
The Flash call COVID-19 is targeted on four priorities identified by the WHO : 1) epidemiological and translational studies; 2) the pathophysiology of the disease (not including vaccines); 3) infection prevention and control measures in the healthcare setting (including the best ways to protect health workers) and in community settings; 4) Ethics and the humanities and social sciences associated with the response.
