The future of labour law – AVENIR-DU-DROIT-DU-TRAVAIL

Submission summary

What’s the labor law coming to? At the time where this branch of law is the subject of particularly intense debate in France and is sometimes questioned, the question of its future is worth asking. Facing the challenges of our society (unemployment ...) and the mutations that undergo work, as the organizations related to it (especially the companies themselves), on background of globalization and technological revolution, a new model of labor law is emerging, which is destabilizing and shaking some ways of thinking we inherited. What is this model? There is here a challenge that lawyers - and especially researchers in law - must meet, through a conceptual theoretical approach. Because basically it is about apprehending a paradigmatic change, which calls for rethinking especially the functions of labor law, its sources, its structure, its purpose and its normative orientations. Grasping the springs of this emerging model.
