controllable absorber for embedded sensor – CABS
The main innovation of CABS project is the development of a wide band ultra-thin absorber material controllable that can become transparent, absorbing or reflecting on demand. In this project, we will use localized components inserted into metasurfaces to control the transmission, the reflection and the absorption. We will base this project on the works we have already done in the field of metamaterial-based absorbers and we will use our first results in the area of controllable multifunctional materials. The project includes the definition of precise specifications, design and material optimization based on realistic simulations of components, fabrication and characterization. This first experimental demonstration should achieve level 3 on the technology maturity scale.
